Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory School is an independent, co-educational school with 340 pupils aged from 3 months to 7 years.   The school is set in its own spacious grounds within Bedford and is part of the larger Pilgrims’ Centre site. 

Are you looking for a flexible part time role to fit around other commitments?

We are currently recruiting for a position in our Wrap Around Care department and are looking for someone to assist with lunchtime.

You will assist the Wrap Around Care and Play Manager with the organisation, setting up and clearing up of lunch.  As well as this you will help supervise the children’s play and support with games and activities in the playground.

 

The available working hours for this position are as follows:

5 hours 

  • 12.30pm – 1.30pm

These hours are Monday to Friday, term time only

School Governor – Marketing Committee Member

Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory is seeking a School Governor to join our Marketing Committee. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with a business or marketing background, who can contribute time, energy and valuable insights.  You’ll have the chance to provide input and serve as a sounding board in the development of our marketing strategy, helping the school achieve its mission through effective marketing initiatives.  As a governor on the Marketing Committee, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and guiding the school’s marketing efforts to ensure they align with our strategic goals and effectively promote the unique values of Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory School.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight:
    • Collaborate with the committee to contribute to the development and evaluation of the school’s marketing strategy.
    • Support the school in setting strategic goals for marketing and growth.
    • Uphold the values and objectives of the school
  • Performance Accountability:
    • Provide oversight to ensure the effective delivery of marketing activities in line with strategic priorities.
    • Ensure responsible use of resources to maximise the impact of initiatives.
  • Committee Engagement:
    • Attend one committee meeting per term (approximately 2 hours of time each term, including meeting attendance and preparation).
    • Engage actively in committee discussions, offering insights from a business or marketing perspective.

Ideal Candidate:

This role would suit an individual with a background in business management, strategic thinking and planning, or in strategic marketing and tactical implementation.

We welcome candidates with good communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to supporting the educational values and objectives of Pilgrims School.  Familiarity with the independent school sector is beneficial but not required.

Commitment:

This role requires approximately 2–4 hours per term, which includes attending the termly marketing committee meeting and any necessary preparation or follow-up.
