Next Steps After Pilgrims
7 years and over
Our aspiration as educators is to enable every child to flourish, whatever their destination. We continue to remain in touch with children and their families, particularly those with younger siblings still at Pilgrims. As the Harpur Trust Pre-Preparatory, we have particularly strong links with the junior schools. This enables the staff to watch with interest and delight as our children continue to achieve and allows children and parents to maintain a close relationship with everyone here at Pilgrims as they continue their journey. We regularly invite past students to come and visit us and let us know how they’re doing!
The Harpur Trust schools are made up of Bedford Girls’ School (girls only), Bedford School (boys only) and Bedford Modern (co-educational).
Bedford Girls’ School
Bedford Girls’ School is a dynamic, independent school for girls aged 7 to 18. Committed to the education of girls and young women, we recognise a world of possibility in every pupil and provide individuals with the tools they need to flourish. An exceptional community, where enquiring minds are nurtured and everyone learns to be proud of their achievements, Bedford Girls’ School is an environment where girls excel in every subject and activity.
Bedford School is a vibrant day and boarding school that offers boys aged 7 to 18 a bright and exciting future. Each and every boy has the opportunity to explore, succeed and excel within a supportive and happy environment, to thoroughly enjoy his childhood, make friends for life and to benefit from an outstanding education.
The happy, supportive atmosphere at Bedford Modern allows children to learn and grow to become compassionate and assured young adults. Buzzing with energy and enthusiasm, girls and boys thrive from sharing different perspectives and approaches to learning, as they are encouraged to realise their full potential. Excellent in all areas, the engaging and challenging academic curriculum is complemented by extensive sporting, music, drama and other co-curricular programmes.
