Children joining Reception attend full time from the beginning of the Autumn Term. We can continue to offer before and after school care in addition to holiday club. A wider variety of extra-curricular activities are available, ranging from cookery and karate to brain games and tennis.

Our small classes, each with their own fully qualified teacher and teaching assistant, ensure that your child is able to work at their own pace; challenges are increased when appropriate and any difficulties are addressed quickly.

As their curiosity for the world expands, we provide the children with a variety of experiences which satisfy their thirst for knowledge. From Reception upwards, weekly lessons with a Modern Foreign Language teacher are introduced. IT, swimming, games and specialist music lessons continue to enhance the school's creative curriculum.

During the year, your child will continue to build upon the foundations established in Nursery: independent thinking, confidence and consideration for others. These values lie at the heart of our school.

As the year progresses, the children's literacy and numeracy lessons become more formal, preparing them for the exciting move into Year 1.
